Trumpet The Miracle Wolf Pup is a series that reflects the importance of helping young people understand ecosystem balance, build empathy for living things, and recognize how human actions affect the planet. In this edition of Trumpet’s life, Trumpet Becomes A Mom, we learn about pack/wolf family dynamics. Learning about a wolf’s day to day life with their family will help everyone, especially young children, develop empathy and respect for not just wolves, but every living creature. They are individuals with their own personalities and social bonds, not just beasts from fairytales. 

Early education about ecosystems and animal family structures will inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, preserving and protecting our world long after the writers of these books are gone. The Wolf Conservation Center shows us their dedication to education, conservation, and saving animals from extinction through these books.

Allyson Rankin is an English major and tutor at Cape Cod Community College, along with being awarded a place in Phi Theta Kappa: International College Honor Society. She desires to work in the publication industry, specifically as an editor, and is working hard every day to hone the skills needed to meet that goal. Helping authors write stories that inspire and immerse readers is her greatest dream, and connecting to the audience while upholding the vision of the author is a balance she is constantly looking to master.
