Review by Allyson Rankin, Plymouth, MA

On The Right Path is, at its core, a book about learning important lessons through playing team sports. Basketball and other sports are for everyone, and everyone can learn valuable skills while playing on a team that can be applied to life just as much as they can be applied on the court. This particular lesson was all about the classic rule of treating people the way you want to be treated. Your child will learn alongside our main character, Jayden, that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and grace, even annoying little siblings!
Moore’s use of the color palette serves to drive the message home even further; it’s so fun and colorful yet realistic with the gritty and messy aspects of life in a city, along with the strong sense of community one can find with it. All in all, I loved this book and cannot wait for a chance to read the rest of the series!

Allyson Rankin is a soon-to-be South Shore Charter Public School graduate, who will be attending Cape Cod Community College in September. She enjoys drawing, reading, listening to music, and writing the most in her free time.
